LONDON, 2 September 2020: Refinitiv has today announced the appointment of Dewi John as Lipper UK Head of Research.
In this role, Dewi will be responsible for producing insight and commentary on the UK fund and asset management industry using Lipper fund data to help customers understand the underlying market dynamics and fund flows, identify top performers and inform on investment strategies.
Nice one! Congratulations, Dewi! 'That's who on earth he is then, boss. He's the Lipper UK Head of Research.' Ha, ha, ha! If you say so, Voice. 'Well, that's what they say, isn't it?' Yes. Yes. I suppose it is what they say.
However, we know better.
A man is not his job.
But I won't let it get me down. I'm still happy for our Dewi. [And for myself, actually, yes.] He's probably a simple man. I mean, I doubt he's got any existential worries.

With the recent launch of Refinitiv's sustainable finance league tables, there is more demand than ever to have transparent, accurate and comparable Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) data and analytics for the fund management industry. Dewi will play a pivotal role in providing and further developing these market-leading, UK-focussed, ESG fund scores.
Prior to joining Refinitiv, Dewi ran an investment communications consultancy for six years. Before that, he was head of investment communications at Hermes Investment Management in London and has held several communications and product roles in the wealth and asset management sectors, including UBS Wealth Management Research in Zurich.
NOW(!), I'll tell you ... it's just a real shame that our Dewi doesn't have anything to say for himself. 'He's a simple man, boss.' He's not stupid though.
