Now, that would be exciting, wouldn't it?
'It certainly would, boss. But what have we got?'
Er ...
OrbitMI CEO named among Top 10 Technology Leaders in Lloyd's List rankings.
Not so exciting.
'PR email?'
Yeah.
Anyway ...
OrbitMI chief executive Ali Riaz has been named in the Lloyd's List Top 100 People in Shipping for 2022 in recognition of the US technology player's role in advancing digital transformation through innovation and data-sharing to realize sustainability and efficiency gains in the maritime industry.
We get a lot of shipping emails, don't we, Voice? 'Eh?' I said we get a lot of shipping emails. 'Well, you do.' Right.
This isn't a shipping blog, man.
Anyway ...
Riaz, who is listed among the Top 10 Technology Leaders, says he is "thrilled" to be included in the prestigious annual ranking of industry movers and shakers published by the well-respected international shipping publication.
I mean ... ... ... 'They're always thrilled, boss.' I know!
Or excited.
Or delighted.
I mean ...
Anyway ...
Let's hear the voice of the great man! 'Me?!' Ha!
Ali?
"This is a result of the effort by the entire OrbitMI team, our advisors, customers and partners. We intended to make a difference by taking an empathetic approach and offering great technology solutions to clients, as well as encouraging vendor collaboration to unlock end-customer value," he says.
Fair enough. / And that's his voice. Him speaking.
The Top 10 list highlights "Those at the forefront of maritime technology and driving industry innovation", according to Lloyd's List.
Right.
There's actually a lot of this PR email, dear reader(s), and I'm a bit distracted this morning, so ...
'So ... what?'
I'll just finish with this -
"We are focused on achieving digital transformation without disruption. This means understanding the needs of a shipping company and delivering intuitive solutions that enable users to carry out their tasks more easily and efficiently, without interfering with their ability to do business.
"Our mission is to make maritime technology more client-centric. OrbitMI's approach of empathetic innovation is intended to solve real challenges for real people to encourage technology adoption in shipping. We believe that is good for business - and good for the planet."
Thanks, Ali.

Anything else? Music?
I've finished writing Lovers On The Make and I've made a good start on the lyric for This Love. I hope to finish that song really soon.
The thing is ... one of the things I was worried about has made my life a lot more precarious recently, so ... I'll have to get my demo online soon. I might try recording it this week. It's hard playing the guitar with cold fingers though.
This might have to be the demo -
Mighty Soul
Shady, Dodgy, Shifty
The Future
This Love
'That's a bit over the top, ain't it, Mikey?'
Ha! No choice, son.
Anyway ...
Laters, kooks.
