Is it coming? Is it happening now? Who knows?! But ...
New survey commissioned by HYCM has revealed how investors are planning their investment strategies in 2020. The survey of 750 UK investors found:
Yeah, yeah. PR email. But what did they find? 'Give them a chance, boss.' Okay, okay ...
57% believe the current international political landscape is making investment markets more volatile.
Only 57 percent? Are the others in a coma?
36% plan to restructure their portfolios throughout the year to account for this volatility.
Almost a third (32%) think Brexit will negatively impact their investment portfolio in 2020.
30% of UK investors' investment portfolios did not perform as they were expecting in 2019.
Two fifths (39%) want to diversify their portfolios but feel they lack the knowledge to do so.
36% rely on financial advisors to guide their investment decisions.
Oh dear. But it could be worse, I suppose. 'They could be down the food bank, boss.' Of course they could. These people are lucky, Voice. 'They don't know how lucky.' Maybe someone should tell them. 'You?' Ha! Me?! I'm too busy, son.
I'm just wondering what Giles Coghlan has got to say about all this. 'Oh, not him again!' He's all right. Christ.
Giles Coghlan, Chief Currency Analyst at HYCM, says: "If the opening weeks of 2020 are any indication of what's to come, with strong safe haven bids into gold, investors are in for another eventful year. Domestic and international political events can have a profound impact on the financial markets, sharply influencing the value of assets and currencies around the world. In times of volatility, investors need to be versatile; they must keep a keen eye on political events, and when necessary, adjust and adapt their portfolio to changing market conditions. However, this should not be viewed in a negative light. As we have seen in the past, a downturn in one market can also lead to an opening in another."
Well, I don't know. I'm just glad that I live in my own reality, dear reader(s). Do you know what I mean? 'Nothing touches you much.' Oh, it touches me a hell of a lot!

Anything else?
I was thinking of writing poetry again the other day. I get these moments, you dig? But they soon pass. Ha!
Actually, I'll be happy just to write more lyrics like Nothing. Maybe one an album. I want to be known as a songwriter, not a singing poet, BUT(!) ... one an album would be lovely!
Later(s), troubadour fan(s)!
