Kayne Partners Fund IV

What the hell is this?! ... you might be wondering, if you're one of these people, dear reader(s), who is interested in funds and shit. 'Tell them, boss! Tell your readers what it is!' Okay. Well, Voice, and, uh, reader(s), it's a new fund, and it has just closed because the firm, Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors, has got all the money they wanted for it. 'How much, boss?! Tell us! Please!' Ha! Will you calm down, son? Seriously. 'Sorry.' They've raised $385 million. 'Wow!' Yeah. And they're going to invest it in business and financial services, the media, and telecom stuff, and some other stuff. 'Nice.' Yes, it is. / Here's a bit about the firm, its story, as it were -

Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors, L.P., founded in 1984, is an independent alternative investment management firm focused on niche investing in upstream oil and gas companies, energy infrastructure, specialized real estate, middle market credit and growth private equity. Kayne's investment philosophy is to pursue niches, with an emphasis on cash flow. We believe our knowledge and sourcing capabilities enable us to deliver above average, risk-adjusted investment returns. Kayne manages $24.5 billion in assets (as of 9/30/2017) for institutional investors, family offices, high net worth and retail clients and employs over 300 professionals in eight offices across the United States.

All over in America, of course. If anything were happening in Britain, dear reader(s), I would certainly tell you. 'What do you mean, boss?' I mean, man, nothing's happening in Britain, except firms getting ready to move to Frankfurt. 'Ha!' And that's not the sort of news we want, really, is it?

...

Anything else? Music update? Well - 'Oi!' What? 'I thought you weren't doing updates no more.' I just want to correct something from yesterday, that's all. 'Okay, Mikey. Go on then.' I don't need your permission or approval, idiot! Christ! / As I was saying ... well, I've decided it will be a mistake to stop writing songs and just play guitar. I've got to find the time for both, on top of everything else in my life. What I might do, is set one day each week for writing, like Sunday. But don't worry about it, reader(s)! Jesus H. - !!! It's not your problem, you dig? 'They've got problems of their own.' Of course they have!

Later(s), alligator(s)!
