They want top business women ...

Right. Okay. I'm a bit late today with this post because I had a migraine this morning. I think I've shaken it off now. It's that goddamn smart phone of mine. 'Not smart, boss.' Pardon?! 'It's not smart, man, using that smart phone as much as you do.' Just shut up, Voice. Please. I'm really not in the mood.

Okay, okay. It's, uh ... the Stevie Awards. 'What? Who?' I don't know, man. Some cat called Stevie is giving out prizes to women in business. 'Stevie Wonder?' I shouldn't think so. Some other Stevie, probably. Er, let's see ...

Fairfax, VA, USA / Troisdorf, Germany, August 1, 2017 - The 14th annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business, the world's top honours for women entrepreneurs, executives, employees, and the organizations they run, is now accepting entries. The final entry deadline is August 23 and late entries will be accepted through September 20 with payment of a late fee.

So, you see, they want women. Business women. Well, Mickey does, anyway. 'Mickey? Stevie Mickey? Is that his name?' Ha! No. Mickey Gallagher, the president and founder. Look -

"Women are a tremendous force in the global economy," emphasizes Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards. "We therefore want to encourage women entrepreneurs, executives and employees all over the world to seek and receive the recognition that they deserve."

'Okay. Sounds all right.' Yeah.

The Stevie Awards for Women in Business honour the achievements of working women in more than 85 categories including, among others, Female Entrepreneur of the Year, Female Executive of the Year, Mentor or Coach of the Year, Lifetime Achievement Award, Women Helping Women, Female Employee of the Year, Woman-Owned or -Run Company of the Year and Female Innovator of the Year. By winning a Gold, Silver or Bronze Stevie Award, business women and their organizations gain increased media awareness. Further benefits are increased brand recognition and a positive reputation as attractive employers.

Well, it sounds great. 'Yeah. When do we find out who won what?' Er, here, man -

A jury of many leading women entrepreneurs, executives and luminaries worldwide will evaluate the entries, before the winners of the 14th annual competition will be announced at a gala awards dinner at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York on November 17, 2017.

Okay, okay. I wish everyone involved the best of luck. 'Good luck, everyone!' Yes, thank you, Voice.

...

Anything else? 'Music, Mikey! Tell us about your two new tunes from yesterday, that you promised us.' Well ... I didn't write two new tunes yesterday. 'Oh dear. How disappointing!' I wrote one new tune. And it's a great tune. Ha! So you can put that in your pipe and smoke it, you little idiot! 'All right, calm down, boss. I knew you would come up with something.' I only need one tune now for my classic debut album. 'And four lyrics.' Yes, and four lyrics. Thanks for reminding me.

Bye.
