Leading seed stage

'What's that, boss?'

Avant-garde theatre, Voice.

'Explain!'

Well, they plant these little seeds on a stage, in some soil, like, and then the audience watches the seeds grow, for weeks, months, as long as it takes.

'Oh.'

It's not my cup of tea, son, but a lot of people like it. Apparently.

Greetings,

I hope this email finds you well.

What?!

'Who's that?!'

Er ... the director of the show, probably.

My name is Youjin Shin, and I am sending this email on behalf of Shorooq Partners, the leading seed-stage investor across the Middle East, North Africa, and Pakistan (MENAP) region. I am writing to share our new investment in Pearl Semiconductor, a fabless semiconductor company specializing in Timing Integrated Circuits (ICs) and Reference Clocks.

Er ...

You can find the full release attached - For your convenience, it explains our rationale behind the investment, as well as an interesting story on the evolution of the semiconductor industry in Egypt.

Well, okay.

Pearl Semiconductor successfully secured $4.5 million in the recent funding round from Shorooq Partners, QBN Capital, Sawari Ventures, and semiconductor industry veterans. This investment is particularly important because not only is this our first foray into the semiconductor industry, but it is also a critical step towards pushing for innovation and supporting Egypt's ongoing revolutionary movement. Just 3 decades ago, the semiconductor ecosystem was nearly nonexistent in Egypt. But today, together with the help of Pearl Semiconductor's Chairman and founder's dedication to the industry since the 1990s, Egypt's semiconductor industry has transformed a once barren landscape into a flourishing ecosystem - now housing over 30-40 companies, including Egyptian startups as well as multinational giants.

We are very excited to support Pearl Semiconductor's grand vision of unlocking Egypt's underutilized engineering talent pool, as well as empowering the country to rise as a bigger force in the global semiconductor landscape through this new partnership.

'Where's the theatre show, boss?!'

Shut up, idiot. It's been cancelled.

Would you kindly share this news with your audience? This press release can be published immediately.

'Our audience?! Listen, mate, you're the one -'

Sure thing, Youjin! No problem!

Be quiet, Voice.

Well, that's my good deed for the day.

'Shame about the show, boss. I was looking forward to that. I was going to buy tickets for all my friends.'

Yeah, yeah.

Anyway ...

Or ...

Must the show go on?

'Think about your audience!'

Ha, ha, ha!

'Mr Fowke has left the blog!'
