David Bowie??? - and me!
Listen! Bowie's coolest period was the Thin White Duke period - with the Station To Station album and tour. He was sinister and stylish and elegant and even more "alien" than Ziggy. He wasn't one of the lads. Totally cool!
However, my favourite period was the Serious Moonlight tour in 1983 when he was a superstar and hadn't released any mediocre albums yet. (Romantic and stylish and still a bit icy ...) He was thirty-six!
I'm fifty-three. Yes, it's very depressing ... looking at the situation with a normal, conventional mentality ...
Fortunately, I don't have one of those. Ha, ha, ha! Like a true master of reality, my mentality is GONE(!) out there floating with the stars in the astral sky. Do you know what I mean?
That's why I'm absolutely obsessed with my BIG TEN(!) of songs. / I still couldn't bring myself to finish those three lyrics at the weekend. (I rehearsed instead.)
Man, I haven't got the time to write two or three hundred songs. And that number of songs wouldn't have much of an impact anyway. Plenty of artists have loads of songs and ... [drum roll] ... no one cares, you dig?
